These no-bake gingerbread cookie dough bites are the perfect healthy Christmas dessert or snack. Easy and quick to make, they take only 15 minutes to prepare. And while they may be gluten, dairy, egg and refined sugar free, as well as vegan and paleo – they are also super rich, buttery, sweet, aromatic and utterly decadent! (Plus, they make the most amazing edible Christmas gift!)
Today marks precisely one year since I’ve pressed the Publish button on my very first post on The Loopy Whisk. It feels like 5 minutes… and 10 years have passed since then. Time’s a funny thing. I am now a 2nd year PhD student, still making a mess in the lab and an even greater mess in the kitchen. I have tried my hand at more new, exciting recipes than ever before, and I’ve loved every minute of it.
There have been many recipes that made me go WHOATHISISAMAZING, and many that went straight into the trash. I’ve bounced round the kitchen like an over-excited puppy, and I’ve had my share of mini meltdowns when something just wouldn’t work.
Prepare to be blown away – by this healthy paleo chocolate cake. It’s decadent, it’s chocolatey and I bet you can’t tell it’s also gluten, dairy and refined sugar free! Super easy and quick to make, it’s the perfect mid-week chocolatey treat. And even better – no nuts, for all those who are fed up with all the healthy sweet treats being nut-based (or have a nut allergy)!
The best. That’s a bit presumptuous, isn’t it?
It’s assuming that you’ve tasted all the paleo chocolate cakes out there and that THIS ONE comes out on top. Unfortunately, I haven’t sampled all the paleo chocolate cake recipes in existence – but I’m still confident in my claim.
This healthy 3-ingredient paleo & vegan chocolate frosting is perfect for when you get hit with that chocolate craving, but still want something healthy and wholesome. Super easy and quick to make, this healthy chocolate ganache is perfect for frosting cakes, brownies or, you know… a spoon. (As it approaches your mouth.)
It’s been one of those days that calls for a whole lot of chocolate. You know the kind, don’t you?
The kind that makes writing a super fun and profound post rather difficult… because nothing sounds better right now than making a pillow-and-blanket-nest, and then proceeding to ignore the world until tomorrow morning. Late morning, if possible.
If there’s a chocolate cake that accompanies you into that comfy, warm nest… all the better.
Have a failed brownie recipe that tastes amazing but looks kinda meh? Make these INSANELY DELICIOUS salted caramel brownie truffles and turn a baking fail into your biggest baking success. And all of a sudden – you’re everyone’s favourite person and you’ve got yourself a new favourite chocolate recipe. (Psst, now there’s also a VIDEO you can watch for step-by-step instructions!)
So you’re baking brownies. You’re really excited because… brownies. And you are super confident they’ll work because… brownies. You can’t mess up brownies.
And then they come out of the oven, flat and dense and not pretty at all. Half in tears (because brownies are serious business, and life isn’t right if brownies aren’t soft and fudgy), you decide to taste a bit. And WHAM. Full on meltdown because they are the most delicious thing ever but they just look… awful.
And just when you’re on the brink of throwing the whole thing into the trash and giving up baking and chocolate (*gasp*) altogether… Stop.
